Guided walking tour through the old city and the castle

Walking tour through the old city of Heidelberg with its most important sights. Visit of the exterior of the castle including the castle-yard and the garden.
Extra charge: EUR 15

Gala Dinner, Strahlenburg Schriesheim

Join us for a joyful evening at the old castle Strahlenburg Schriesheim.
The castle is surrounded in harmony by forests, meadows and almond trees and amidst vineyards rises the old castle tower of the Strahlenburg.
Tickets at EUR 70 per person include dinner and drinks during the evening as well as entertainment. Book your ticket together with your congress registration via www.registration.intercongress.de or by returning the PDF-File registration form.

Postcongress-Tour

Meeting point is in front of the Heiliggeistkirche
Festive concert in the "Heiliggeistkirche" (Church of the Holy Spirit) on market square, afterwards dinner in a traditional restaurant and view of the extremely beautiful illumination of the Heidelberg Castle. This illumination is only three times a year! Number of participants is limited.

Social programmes can only be carried out if a certain minimum number of participants per programme are reached. Otherwise the programme will have to be cancelled without substitution and the paid amount will be reimbursed completely.

Rhein-Neckar Boat Trip

Boat rides on the Neckar River in the tradition of Mark Twain offer charming views of Old Town Heidelberg and the Neckar Valley. Also offered are special trips during castle illuminations and river boat shuffles with live music. All trips include explanations in German, English and French.

Solar-powered boat "Neckarsonne"

The ship on the Neckar River is powered by solar enery. The passengers experience the most delightful views of the city while the ship gently glides by. During the 50 minutes trip on the river the passengers receive information about solar shuttle and the highlights of Heidelberg and its outlaying areas. They serve refreshing drinks, snacks, coffee and cake.

Elizabeth Charlotte, Princess Palatinate, who lived around 1700, is on hand to guide you personally through Heidelberg. This is made possible in an ultra-modern city tour with the iGuide, a handheld PDA. Simply hang the device around your neck and put on the headphones. You can then enjoy an informative and entertaining tour through the ages in a conversation between Elizabeth Charlotte, Princess Palatinate, and the dwarf Perkeo. The iGuide also illustrates the conversation with 350 photos.
The tour covers a total of 34 sights (including the castle, the Old Bridge and the university) along a suggested route through the Old Town which you can see on the map.
